The Terminator Called

I am fully aware that Schwarzenegger became California’s governor, but there is still something eerie when the Terminator leaves you a message. That’s exactly what happened to me yesterday. When I got home, rather late, from school, the light was blinking on my answering machine. I was so surprised when instead of a friend or family member I heard the familiar action hero’s voice saying: “This is Governor Schwarzenegger. I invite you to join me electing Bill Jones to the State Senate…” I have to admit I didn’t listen to the rest of his message, just deleted promptly. Now I may never know what I missed. Maybe he wanted to invite me to a real Hollywood or Sacramento party too.
