The Last Jew in Kabul

This article tells the story of an lederly Jew sharing a synagogue as his home with a young Muslim in Afghanistan. The self-appointed ‘Last Jew’ in Kabul may very well be what the last one there. The articlle sadly is motly about his schism with the penultimate Jew, who died recently. TBut the articlse is closed with the young Muslim’s words: “I have known them for 20 years … it has nothing to do with Islam. I am a Muslim in my heart. He has his religion and I have mine.”
