Don’t you just love the mission statement of the Olive Tree Educational Trust:
The Olive Tree scholarship scheme aims to support talented young Israelis and Palestinians during their degree studies, to encourage mutual understanding and to create a community of graduates committed to the pursuit of human rights and economic welfare.The project will bring together, each year, a group of up to 20 Israeli and Palestinian undergraduate students to study at City University, London.
I heard about it from an email also mentioning that there is an inspiring article on page 62 of the February 2005 issue of The Middle East magazine. It took some time to find the magazine on the web, but here it is. The article is not online though.
