Muslims And Jews: One Nation Under God?

Hesham Hassaballa shared his views on alt.muslim under the article titled as this entry. His byline was: I lament the tension between Muslims and Jews. It makes so much sense for the two faith communities to be very close to each other. He is using the Constituion of Medina to show that Jews and Muslims lived in peace and trust with each other in the time of the Prophet. Furthermore the Prophet inlcuded the Jews in the ummah, in the community of believers. He expresses the pain seeing the division of the two communities and uses his religious beliefs to support the idea that this doesn’t make sense. I agree with and respect him.
