Clerics to Rice for Peace

The Jewish Telegraphic Agency shared a short note only but the Federal News Service posted the full transcript about the urging of clerics of the Abrahimc faith to Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice for peace, before her visit to the Middle East. Unfortunately by now the later is available only to subscribers. The essence of the meeting is that representatives of all three faiths urged “greater engagement in achieving Israeli-Palestinian peace.” They agreed that “Whatever develops in terms of a possible change of course for U.S. policy in Iraq, we believe a commitment by the administration, with the support of Congress, to actively re-engage in pursuing Arab-Israeli-Palestinian peace is essential and will have positive reverberations in the region and around the world.”
