The Washingtonian published a fairly detailed account of the friendship of three men, who grew up together. One of them became an orthodox rabbi, a second an Orthodox Muslim and the third has his own interesting story as well. The story has a down-to-earth tone describing the circumstances, history and major life-events that formed this friendship. It was written by the sister of the Jewish member of the trio. The summary of their life experience: “There’s always been an understanding that what unites us is the search for knowledge. I hope we can translate some element of that to help other people see that the things that unite them are greater than the things that ostensibly divide them. We’re much stronger and know much more together than we do separately.” The third member of the gang is known as Chapelle, the comedian, whose story is whole separate, yet intertwined tale.
