Comments crash

A few days ago this blog partially crashed. More specifically the database table that contained the comments got corrupt. When I looked into the issue I found that the number of comments reached 65536 (2 ^16). That includes all the spams that the software caught (and I regularly deleted) and the few dozen legitimate comments left by visitors too. Unfortunately I did not have a proper back up. (Now I do.) This meant that all past comments are lost. I apologize from those who left them. I will not have the same problem until the comment count reach 134,217,728 (2^27) comments. That may take a while.
