Last September I discovered the Guardian’s list of “1000 films to watch before you die” and mentioned in a blog entry that I will try to watch as many of them as I can. (Then in November I created a webpage, listing all the movies and blogged it.) I went through the list and counted 293 movies I have already seen before last year. I managed to watch another 14 in the last three months of 2008, essentially one a week. I plan to keep up a similar schedule and watch at least another 50 this year. (This post was triggered me just writing up a mini-review of All the president’s men, a movie from the list.) This way I could be done in about 14 years. By which of course many new great movies will be added to the list.
